Aussie Curves - Fears Exposed

Fear is a strong word. I can't say there is really anything I fear much in regards to fashion unless there is a dress made of live spiders! *shivers*
So instead for this weeks challenge I decided to push myself out of my comfort zone and wear a crop top showing my midriff.
When I got no reactions or comments the first whole day I wore my crop at work I decided to wear another crop for the second day and still got nothing! Not even a "she's too fat to wear that" glare when I went into Maccas to get a coffee!

All these years I've avoided showing my stomach for no reason... I guess it shows that we all can achieve way more and grow if we just step out of our comfort zone for a little while. I did and I'm still alive and kicking. What's to fear now?!?

Aussie Curves - Favourite Piece

This challenge, my 'favourite piece' has been a bit difficult for me. Since my Dad passed away nearly 3 weeks ago I seem to have lost my fashion mojo and getting dressed every morning hasn't been as fun as it usually would be. I have no doubt my mojo will return so in the meantime I've decided a plain black dress has been the easiest and therefore my favourite piece.

This dress by the brand Rosie + Dixie, is super comfy and is not too long or too short. On days when I've found it too difficult to figure out what to wear I've just thrown this on and its just worked. Plus it has pockets and I know we all love a dress with subtle pockets!

I didn't want to seem like I was wearing too much black so to add a tiny smidgen of colour to this outfit I added a necklace I was given from my Aussie Curves Kris Kringle last christmas.
Also worn with this outfit is another favourite piece if mine, this one is jewellery and is my newest ring, one of two made from my father's wedding ring. It is gold so I'm in the process of switching from silver jewellery to gold which is alot harder than I thought. For example, I would've added a belt to this outfit but all my belts have silver on them and I don't really wanna wear both silver and gold. yes I'm picky like that.
Have you ever swapped from silver to gold jewellery? Or do you wear both? Any tips for me?

* Target sandal heels || Target || $15
* Necklace ||  Aussie Curves Christmas Present

Aussie Curves - Tee

This tee is growing on me at the moment. At first I wasn't sure about it but at the time I really wanted to buy something to wear to a funeral I was going to. I had money aside and my beautiful sister insisted it looked good on me. Usually I would never buy something full price but since I had the money aside I decided I would just go for it.
I got $10 off with some vouchers I got given at the counter so it was only $60... still extremely expensive for me considering Op Shopping is my main source of clothing.
After all this I didn't even wear it to the funeral! But I'm still glad I got it, thanks Sis! It's comfy and looks good so what more could I ask?!
Check out the other tees Curvettes are lovin' at the moment below!

Aussie Curves - My Closet: New Editions

I had great plans this week to tidy my wardrobe and show everyone all my little areas for storing my clothing and some accessories.
Unfortunately my father passed away on Wednesday so my plans got thrown out the window.
Luckily the Sunday before I took some photos of some new editions to my wardrobe, so I'm going with the interpretation: 'My Closet: New Editions'. That's is how much these challenges mean to me! And I know my Dad saw the huge improvement in confidence and love for fashion since I started participating in Aussie Curves Challenges about 14 months ago!
My new editions are [for once] not from the op shop!!...well the clothing anyway!
Danimezza (founder of Aussie Curves) had a sale on facebook and I took this chance to snap up my first piece of Australian made clothing from the brand Harlow. $40 was a absolute bargain plus that included postage, so happy about this purchase!
The top is from the Alexia line at KMart and was definately a score at $8 from the clearance rack!
The necklace is from an op shop but was  such a good buy at $2 I couldnt refuse!!
Thanks for all your kind words and prayers Ladies! It is appreciated immensely!
