Aussie Curves - Date Night

Aussie Curves Challenge this week: Date Night.... Um I don't know what that is!?! LOL
I don't think I've ever been on a date so I'm just going to post about what I think I would wear when it happens!! Yes it will happen!!! One of these days...
There would be a few important factors for me when dressing for a date...
First, I want to look sexy and I find I tend to get the most compliments when I wear red!
I want to feel sexy too! When I feel sexy it usually gives me the confidence to actually be sexy and for me personally heels help heaps so heels are a must!
Not only do I want to feel and look sexy, I also want to feel comfortable and warm (in colder weather) so for me leggings add warmth and allows me to feel comfortable wearing a dress and not having to worry about the breeze, bending over, the length if the dress, cellulite etc etc
So to wear red, with heels, a dress with leggings. I have two red dresses off the top of my head and my favourite by far is my red City Chic skater dress which I bought of Facebook last year for $50. I've worn it heaps! It is so comfy and looks good which is just what I need.

- Add my long black sleeve City Chic top underneath cause it's ridiculously cold here at the moment
- Add my opshopped black TS14+ waterfall cardigan for extra warmth and and a layered effect
- Add $2 opshopped red hoop earrings
- Add my $4 opshopped heels cause they're cute and sexy
- Add my 2 opshopped bangles (which I think are actually hoops from a baby toy of some sort but I can't seem to find a plain red bangle big enough to fit over my wrist)
- And some red Chi Chi 'Hot Mamma' lip gloss and Im set!

Now while I go hunting for a date for my date night you go and check out the other Curvettes via the blog hop below!!

Aussie Curves - Nature

Nature; this weeks Aussie Curves challenge is Nature, not natural. My first thought was Natural? I should do some tasteful Nude shots! But no Charlene! It's nature, not natural!! Gees no nudies already!

As I looked through my wardrobe to see what nature themed clothing I had I realised just how much nature must be a huge inspiration for clothing designers. Flowers on floral, leaf patterns & shapes, animal prints and all the colours of the rainbow! These are just some of the nature inspired prints from my wardrobe.
For this challenge I decided to wear this dress I opshopped ages ago for $3. I actually think it is a skirt but I prefer it as a strapless dress. Pastel colours aren't me but paired with black in this skirt I can pull it off, I actually think I rock it!!
The flowers on this dress are so lifelike I love them, hence why I've used it for my Nature challenge post!
Target skirt made dress - opshopped $3
Belt - opshopped $2
New Look tights - given to me by a friend
TS14+ sleeveless cardi - opshopped $5
Looped scarf - opshopped $1.50
City Chic black top (underneath) - opshopped $4
Kmart boots (these don't pull all the way up but still look good scrunched down) - opshopped $4
Coral bangle - opshopped $1

Aussie Curves - Polka dots

Polka dots have never really been my thing but after last years polka dot challenge I have been keeping my eye out for something I could use come this challenge and something I could keep as a polka dot piece in my wardrobe.

Well I found two pieces to try and I've been saving them for this challenge; A little neck scarf and a vintage dress.

The neck scarf seemed almost pointless as a scarf, especially in this chilly weather we've had at the moment. So I decided to use it as a head scarf. I like the photos I took but it wasn't really ideal for me as it didn't sit on my head properly so it'll probably go back to the op shop.

The vintage grandma dress is pretty cool I reckon! Its actually navy blue up top with a white skirt with tiny blue polka dots! I wanted to wear leggings cause of the cold weather and I only have black one so I just covered up the top bit. The tiny polka dots on the skirt half are so small you just assume they're black. I also covered up the top half so it didnt look so grandma-ish. I really wish I'd had some skin coloured stockings, tights or leggings at times like this cause its was too cold to have bare legs!!
...Anyway again I like the photos I took, cropped and played with but the dress is not me. I just don't think white (or mostly white) is my colour so this will probably be donated back to the op shop too!

Both pieces just weren't me and even my polka dot nail polish didn't work out too great!
Just when i thought I would never find the perfect polka dot piece for myself I realised it was literally in front of me the whole time!
These fingerless gloves I've had for about a year now and wear them nearly every day during the colder seasons!
They are comfy, practical and only costing $1 from the op shop (of course) they were cheap but still good quality and warm!
